So not all is a moan and groan on a Monday evening. Well, Unless you are a just starting-out newbie fan of Great British Bake Off or you're already a fanatic and you hear the news that the show have 'sensationally' relocated to Channel 4... (Yes, you heard that right!)
If you have been living under a rock these past few weeks , then let me just give you the rundown of what's been going on...
Rumours first surfaced last month that ITV were set to steal GBBO in a big money swoop as news was unknown whether GBBO would even relocate to ITV.
Fast forward a month on to now, It's been confirmed that the show will 'sensationally' relocate to Channel 4 after 7 years of being contracted to the BBC.
Even the thought of the show moving to Channel 4 is a very huge let down! One: the reason being ridiculously more adverts with no doubt 3 ad breaks between each challenge and two being: more cut-downs of viewing due to the show's adverts.
Much to the disappointment, does this mean Come Dine With Me will be axed off Channel 4? I hope so! At least get rid of that show as no doubt GBBO will be throwing shade at them and comes major competition.
First the loss of Harambe and now Great British Bake Off. What a sad year 2016 has become. Feel like saying RIP to this year. Hasn't been the best of years for the media has it? The nation's been divided and half are crying at their TV screens while the rest are not bothered by the news at all tucking into their after-dinner deserts.
Unlucky for the BBC, GBBO was the only thing going for them and now it wouldn't surprise us if they follow in the footsteps of BBC Three and axe the entire BBC One channel as the only show keeping them alive is EastEnders.
I wouldn't be surprised if they make a change of the programme and the contestants start baking as nudists to follow in the footsteps of Naked Attraction. But believe me, I'd lose all faith if that was to happen!
Oh well folks, though it does feel like first world problems. Now in the meantime get the kettle on and begin starting your online petitions as it's certainly well needed.
