So the summer holidays have officially commenced and it's that time of the year to find a new hobby to keep ourselves occupied throughout the six week's worth of fun.
Some may say they don't mind spending their time off at home or a few may find boredom will strike within a matter of days. I'm one of those... The more time I spend at home, is the moment I begin to go insane. But fear not! I may just have the perfect solution to stop this from happening...
Could baking rescue me from going insane? I hope so.
I've always enjoyed baking when I get the opportunity however, I never make the time. As I've got a lot of time on my hands at the moment, I went to buy a book to help encourage me to improve my cookery skills.
With a little thanks to Tanya Burr I managed to purchase her recent recipe book in the hope to be inspired by her amazing baking skills. (Tanya Burr is a British blogger & YouTuber).
I'm a massive fan of sweet treats which is what the book is packed with, from naughty to tasty all kinds of bakes including, cookies, pastries and cakes.
I must admit, I'm nowhere close to being a baking expert although it's certainly something I want to be able to do when living independently in the near future and fend for myself.
Looking through the book, It certainly kicked-started my cravings for something sweet and delicious.
My absolute all-time favourite desert has to be cheesecake! Who doesn't love cheesecake?! I'm obsessed. I've never baked a cheesecake however, I'm certainly going to try in the next few weeks (Expect a blog post on that, for sure!)
The salted caramel cheesecake definitely caught my eye. It looks so delicious If the photo is anything to go by although I'm not sure if mine would look as incredible as that though.
So yeah! Baking is something I'm going to start having a go at as from next week.
You can expect a lot more blog posts from me on everything I've baked and had a go at making.
I'm looking forward to starting my new hobby of baking with a little help from Tanya Burr.
