As you know, I live in Cornwall. I often visit the beach when it's sunny weather or sometimes even in Winter. Today I visited Marazion Beach which is near Penzance, to try Metal Detecting for the very first time which I really enjoyed.
A Metal Detector is a device you hover above the sand which detects various items of metal.
Hoping to discover something interesting, I didn't. There was the odd metal screw, cans and coins, but nothing exciting like I hoped to find.
It was enjoyable considering It's an activity I've never tried before. When the device detects something by bleeping, I always got excited. It's like scratching off a scratch card! That little in certainty of luck that you might come across something years old that's been washed up from the sea. I've known people to discover all sorts of ancient items containing metal. It's very fun.
To finish off the trip I went to the amusements and of course indulged into KFC! What a way to end it?!
Overall today was enjoyable and a fun first experience of Metal Detecting.
Thanks for reading!
