Hey everyone! Hope you're all very well.
So, this weekend, as it's very close to Halloween (Oct 31st) I thought I'd write my first-time Halloween themed post and share with you all what I purchased recently from Lush.
I am a massive lover of bath bombs, without a doubt, so I was very excited to try out their Halloween collection to review. I'm very pleased with their Halloween collection as a first time buyer, however, I literally expected there would be loads to choose from; like way more! But that certainly hasn't spoiled it for me though.
Without further ado, let me show you the goodies I bought and tell you how amazing they truly are:
BUBBLE BAR | SPARKLY PUMPKIN: £3.29
So, let's start with the best, easily my absolutely favourite one for looks-wise. with juniper-berry, grapefruit, and lime oil.
This sparkly pumpkin-shaped bubble bar will make your bath water super shimmery and golden. Simply crumble under hot running water; this bubble bar smells absolutely amazing and good for at least two baths (or one crazy bubbly one).
This one is a little more delicately fragranced than the rest. My skin after was left with a real gentle shimmer and so soft after use.
BATH MELT | BOO: £3.50
This tiny little white ghost is half bath melt and half bubble bar mix. I really love this bath melt, It's super cute. I've never tried a bath melt before so this is my first time using one.
Scent-wise this Boo bath melt was a lot more subtle that I was expecting. Containing warming ginger, calming mimosa and sweet mandarin oil. This isn't a very strong scent but I still really like it as it's so small and perfect.
I was pleased to find the ginger was not at all over powering as I'm not that keen when it comes to ginger although the delicate mix of ingredients created a floral, fruity scent which was both relaxing yet warming.
Boo bath melt is a bath melt and bubble bar mix. In order to get the most out of this product it is best to hold it under running water. As the water runs over the ghost, it creates soft white bubbles. The warm water also melts the cocoa butter creating soft luxurious moisturising water.
BATH BOMB | LORD OF MISRULE: £3.95
Lord of Misrule is a sage green shade but once it dissolves, it reveals a deep green centre which leaves the bath water an indulgent Merlot colour. As it slowly bubbles away, it ends up looking like body parts which may not be the best of bath bombs but at least it's Halloween-suitable and it's allowed!
The fragrance is a gorgeous musky blend of black pepper oil, patchouli and vanilla which leaves a subtly spicy scent on the skin for hours after bathing. Perfectly warming for cool winter evenings.
BATH BOMB | MONSTER BALL: £4.25
I think this one is probably one of my favourites. It's so creative and looks amazing. Too good to not want to use it.
Featuring lime oil and neroli oil the Monsters’ ball bath bomb is a zesty, sweet and fruity scent. The scent is very uplifting and is great for getting you going when you feeling a little like a monster yourself. The scent of this product will also help you feel refreshed and ready to brush away all those cobwebs that are keeping you from feeling your best.
If the scent of the product isn’t enough once popped in the water you are in for a real treat, It's so colourful and a piece of art.
Monsters' Ball also creates an extra moisturising bath. The Monsters’ Ball bath bomb has a little eye made out of organic cocoa butter. Once the bath bomb has fizzed away this little eye floats on the water slowly melting and releasing its moisturising goodness into the water.
BATH BOMB | PUMPKIN: £3.95
This little bath bomb is super cool. I love the simplicity of this and the mischievous grin which captures the true essence of Halloween spirit.
Sweet vanilla and spicy cinnamon come together to create a delicious, biscuit scent, making this the perfect bath bomb to satisfy any Halloween excitement! It's enough to put you into the Halloween spirit. Pimento berry oil also works as an antioxidant, making it easy to chill and you can leave all your troubles at the door when relaxing in this spectacular pool of pumpkin pie.
This is probably one of my favourite scents of any range because it's so simple and smells almost of Halloween treats and orange lolly-pops.
I hope you've all enjoyed reading this post as much as I did writing this! I hope to be doing more Lush reviews in the future so please let me know what you think of this review in the comments below. Make sure you check out your local stores and the website for the full range of seasonal products.
